What is the typical hourly rate for a web developer to help me build a completely customized website using Buddi e-Commerce?

Like anything the typical rate for a freelance web developer can vary depending on their experience and location. If you’re creating the website without using us being involved make sure you have references for the developer, previous work examples and a clear rate agreed upon.

Will this guarantee me more sales and revenue for my store?

As you know, SEO is one component to running a successful cannabis store. While it may be the current hot topic there is so much more to a successful store than SEO. You have to procure inventory

Do I need to have a link to Buddi.io in my website footer?

No, if you’re reading this documentation it means that you’re a developer and you’re developing on top of our platform. In this case you don’t need it. We only add that to websites that we’ve developed on behalf of our retailer partners or our on demo sites.

Do you have a referral program for web developers?

Yes! When a developer wants to work with us, we know we’re building a platform that works best for everyone. When you bring a cannabis retailer to Buddi you’ll receive an initial referral bonus of $100 CAD plus 10% of their ecommerce subscription for the next 12 months.

I use SquareSpace, Wix, Webflow, etc as my website builder, is this compatible with those builders?

Some of these services do allow for you to import assets and serve them via Server Side Rendering. For example, Webflow has 'Webflow Cloud' which might be able to allow for installing an NPM library. However, there are so many different web builder tools on the market we encourage you to research if they will allow for SSR and importing an NPM library prior to building on that selected platform.

Are there additional costs associated to this service?

In addition to the fee we charge for access to the SEO service (pricing can be found on Buddi.io) there are other things to keep in mind such as: domain fee and website hosting. In many cases you will have your domain purchased through a provider and your web hosting purchased through another provider. Before commiting to web hosting just be sure that you'll be able to deploy a SSR website to that hosting platform. Personally I recommend taking a look at Netlify or Vercel as great, simple hosting options for these sites.
